Usage

Tagging a single page is simple:

{{Merge|Article 1|date=May 2025}}

It has been suggested that this page or section be merged with Article 1.(Discuss)

By default, the Discuss link on the template links to the top of the destination page's talk page. To specify which section, or to name a different talk page entirely, use the |discuss= parameter:

{{Merge|Article 1|discuss=Talk:Article 1#Merge discussion|date=May 2025}}

It has been suggested that this page or section be merged with Article 1.(Discuss)

To name other pages to be merged, simply separate them with a vertical pipe. You can add up to 20 articles to be merged:

{{Merge|Article 1|Article 2|Article 3|discuss=Talk:Article 1#Merge discussion|date=May 2025}}

It has been suggested that this page or section be merged with Article 1, Article 2 and Article 3.(Discuss)

To name multiple pages to merge into a single page, use the |target= parameter. For example, to merge the tagged page, as well as OtherPage1, OtherPage2, and OtherPage3 into OtherPage4, use:

{{Merge|Article 1|Article 2|Article 3|target=Article 4|discuss=Talk:Article 1#Merge discussion |date=May 2025}}

It has been suggested that this page or section be merged with Article 1, Article 2 and Article 3 to Article 4.(Discuss)

These templates will add tagged pages to Category:Pages to be merged .

Notes

• After adding the merge template, please create a section on the talkpage explaining your rationale for the merge proposal.
• Do not link to the pages with square brackets.

For example, write {{Merge|Article 1}}, not {{Merge|[[Article 1]]}}.

• The date may not be shown in the box. Do not be concerned about this. It is used when grouping tagged pages together into categories by date. Category:Utility templates
