Hi — yes, they were the ones who chose the CC BY 4.0 license from the list I provided. I don’t think they realized at the time that this license allows for commercial use. After uploading the photos, I sent them a copy of the VRT email that needs to be sent. I believe that’s when they understood the full implications of the license, including commercial use.

I asked them if they wanted the photos removed, but they didn’t respond — so I left them up.

At this point, our best chance is for @John Cummings to persuade them to formally release the content on Wikipedia. Cinaroot (talk) 06:27, 8 May 2025 (UTC)
