Getting help

More information is available at the community portal. You may ask questions at the help desk, village pump or on IRC channel #wikimedia-commons (webchat). You can also contact an administrator on their talk page. If you have a specific copyright question, ask at the copyright village pump.

Goodies, tips, and tricks

Put Babel boxes on your user page so others know what languages you can speak and indicate your graphic abilities.
You can find the files you have uploaded in your Uploads.
Please sign your name on Talk pages by typing ~~~~.
To link to an image page without embedding the image, type: [[:File:Foo.jpg]], which produces: File:Foo.jpg.
You may enable gadgets (custom features) for your account.
There are several tools to upload files.
Have you edited Wikipedia before? This guide might be useful.

Do you want to have a file renamed or moved? Use the move link and wait for an authorized user to rename it.

First Turkic Khaganate map

Hello I wrote this to another person but he couldn't help me. But maybe you can.

per source "2,3,5,8,10" border of First Turkic Khaganate included Manchuria, land of of Shiwei and Khitans in east and china wall to south but this map dosent show. Karakhanid map

hi Per source kingdom of Khotan Conquered by karakhanid but map doset show. This maps can help. Khotan and karakhanid.

No . Just current map is using two colors is bad. Just add khotan kingdom to this map. Khotan Conquered by karakhanid but this map dosen't show that.

Я создала категорию Category:Women's suffrage activists from the Russian Empire и не могу понять, как сделать так, чтобы в родительской категории она правильно сортировалась (остальные подкатегории сортируются по названиям стран, моя по первому слову) - в руководстве советуют тег DEFAULTSORT, но что-то я не так с ним делаю Baraban-uragan (talk) 23:15, 27 May 2025 (UTC)

Свободная лицензия на сайте президента Кыргызстана

Привет. Хотел бы сделать вам важное предложение как киргизскому участнику и куратору тематических недель русскоязычных регионов - вы были бы не против введения свободной лицензии на сайте Садыра Жапарова, а также свободы панорамы? Среди стран Центральной Азии вообще нет свободы панорамной съёмки, из-за чего с Викисклада удаляются фотографии многих сооружений новой столицы Казахстана Астаны, станций Ташкентского метрополитена (в 2018 году разрешена свободная фото- и видеосъёмка) и так далее.

В свою же очередь в России с 1 октября 2014 года есть и открытые лицензии, и свобода панорамы, которая не распространяется на памятники и мемориальные доски. Более полная свобода панорамы среди стран СНГ есть только в Молдове и Армении. MasterRus21thCentury (talk) 16:21, 29 May 2025 (UTC)

В Казахстане уже ведутся переговоры на счет разрешения свободы панорамы, но все не получается. На счет Кыргызстана и про свободу панорамы обещать не могу, это достаточно трудоемко и к тому же постоянно на счет этого пересматривают законы, если посмотреть хронологию и все равно не разрешают, только non-commercial. А на счет сайта попробую так же поговорить с другими кыргызстанскими коллегами. Incall ^talk 19:49, 29 May 2025 (UTC)

О, спасибо за хорошую новость. К слову Kaiyr будет неплохим советником по этому поводу. Некоторое время назад сайт Мажилиса Парламента был под CC BY 4.0, но после редизайна куда-то её дел. Но рестарт лучше начинать с сайта Акорды, как это было во многих странах.

Другое дело - с Узбекистаном, потому что за девять лет президентства Шавката Мирзиёева страна кардинально преобразилась и в 2019-ом авторитетный журнал The Economist назвал её страной года. Плюс ещё недавно Алексей Пивоваров выпустил большой выпуск Редакции, во время съёмок которого его задержали. Некоторые министерства и ведомства уже перешли на свободную лицензию, но не президент и правительственный портал.

Также у азербайджанских коллег надо проконсультироваться (этим занимается Interfase) - там президентский сайт ещё с 2017 года под свободной лицензией, но в стране до сих пор нет свободы панорамы. Но тем не менее ему удалось убедить Национальный паралимпийский комитет и нескольких видных азербайджанских фотографов передать контент под свободную лицензию. По загрузкам он сравнился с kremlin.ru, согласие на использование материалов которого (тогда по CC BY 3.0) Наталья Тимакова дала ещё 3 октября 2008 года.

Плюс ещё четыре года пытаюсь убедить белорусских коллег не бояться писать письмо в пресс-службу Александра Лукашенко ввиду неявного копирайта на президентском сайте, а после редизайна 2021 года здесь появились ранее неизданные фото и видео в такой же степени, что и на http://20.kremlin.ru - часть из них была загружена на Викисклад более 15 лет назад, но теперь перезалиты в высоком разрешении. Также подготовил вариант обращения с упоминанием проекта РИА Новостей 2011-2012 годов - тогда они передали Викискладу около 40 фотографий на белорусскую тематику.

В конечном счёте это должно привести так или иначе к открытым государственным лицензиям на весь правительственный контент, публикуемый в открытом доступе на манер тех же США, Южной Кореи, Индии и так далее. MasterRus21thCentury (talk) 21:51, 29 May 2025 (UTC)

Коллега, если поступит положительный ответ, то сообщение об этом будет в Викиновостях - я уже писал о переходах ряда российских сайтов в прошлом году: сюда вошли Краснодарский край, Кузбасс, Нижегородская и Псковская области, Минюст и Минприроды России, Справедливая Россия и Сергей Миронов, а также Правительства Молдавии и Приднестровья, ЛДПР и Леонид Слуцкий (это сделали мои коллеги). Минобороны России также сохранило свободную лицензию на новом сайте, в Якутии думают после моего письма сохранить её на новом сайте. Планы перехода подтвердили Новосибирская, Свердловская, Кировская, Курская области и Чувашия.

В целом необходим единый совет для России и стран СНГ по авторскому праву и свободе панорамы, так как это ядро аудитории и авторов русскоязычного раздела.

Другое дело - письмо уже находится на рассмотрении? Очень надеюсь на то, что Вы поделитесь некоторыми подробностями переговоров, потому что все уже давным-давно знают, что такое Creative Commons и что все фотографии киргизских политиков берутся с других сайтов, но не официальных первоисточников. When submitting a YouTube video deletion speedy request, please always check for archived versions first.
