Procedure to merge edit histories
It is possible for a sysop user to merge the edit histories of two wiki pages. This is most useful when an old page is copied to a new page. The procedure requires the ability to delete and undelete pages.
- Step 1: temporarily delete the new page.
- Step 2: move old page to new page's location.
- Step 3: click link to restore new edits.
- Step 4: restore deleted page from step 1.
- Step 5: rollback the edit caused by step 2.
- Now the histories appear merged.
