Please withdraw your nomination

Can you please consider withdrawing your deletion request of King George VI LOC matpc.14736 (cleaned).jpg? Your rationale is neither here nor there. Commons only requires that images be free in the source country and in the United States. The source country is the United States. UK copyright is completely irrelevant. AlbanGeller (talk) 17:20, 1 November 2019 (UTC)

So, you're claiming the photograph is by a British photographer, of a British person and taken in the United Kingdom, and that UK copyright is completely irrelevant? Can't you see a flaw there? Celia Homeford (talk) 08:37, 4 November 2019 (UTC)
No, because it was published in the United States without notice. AlbanGeller (talk) 09:22, 4 November 2019 (UTC)

Sock puppetry again

I can confirm that it is not the user franz von pawlew, because this user who signals insert licenses where he claims to be the creator. a sane person would never take an action against such a file, where only the rules of Le (PD licenses) apply. BUT IT DOESN'T ABSOLUTELY HAVE TO DO with the uploads of franz pawlew, because his uploads were well font and with the right information, while this user you report, he is just a user who would seem just a beginner--37.183.21.173 18:53, 28 October 2020 (UTC)

Hi, Celia,
I know that there are multiple copyright violations that have been made from my account. Earlier this week I logged onto my account for the first time since around the end of April, and had absolutely no clue that those images were uploaded under my account until the notices of copyright vio's you placed under my account appeared. This is entirely a misunderstanding as my password was very weak and generic (anyone could guess it), and I had to change it as I fear those images were uploaded with malicious intent by someone who logged onto my account in my absence. Just know that this is an utter confusion, and please remove the copyright vio'd images. Thank you! Rexophile (talk) 02:28, 15 May 2025 (UTC)

There's no evidence that your account has been compromised. See Commons:Requests for checkuser/Case/Rexophile. The images had to be uploaded from your device on your IP. Celia Homeford (talk) 08:01, 19 May 2025 (UTC)
