Other wikibooks history
Seems to be already Wikibooks:WikiProject_History, maybe redirect the page here and contact the member. ChessCreator (talk) 19:34, 8 April 2008 (UTC)
- I hadn't seen that. It says it is obsolete, so I've linked it here. Thanks. Νεοπτόλεμος ( talk | email | contribs ) 19:52, 8 April 2008 (UTC)
- History merged after the move and renamed Wikibooks:WikiProject Chess for consistency. Wikibooks:History should be about the history of Wikibooks. All wikiprojects should use Wikibooks:Wikiproject XXXXXXX as the format to avoid any such conflicts. – Mike.lifeguard | talk 01:34, 9 April 2008 (UTC)
- I strongly disagree that 'All wikiprojects should use Wikibooks:Wikiproject XXXXXXX as the format to avoid any such conflicts.' If you are concerned about the conflicts a better way is to redirect Wikibooks:Wikiproject XXXXXXX to whatever format is choosen. It's quite inappropriate to change existing wikibooks that have already been branded with a name, and known as that name from many links in wikibooks and elsewhere (like wikipedia). Also the practical problem of the name 'Wikibooks:Wikiproject XXXXXXX' being to long to sensible displayed in sidebars. ChessCreator (talk) 15:39, 9 April 2008 (UTC)

WB:HISTORY
Created shortcut to the Wikibooks History page. It's also a trick to highlight link on User box on project page. ChessCreator (talk) 21:43, 8 April 2008 (UTC)
United We Stand
Hello folks,
I am Geoff Plourde (Geo.plrd). my Wikiversity course (Introduction to US History) will be writing a US History textbook called United We Stand. We are using the AP and California Standards as references. If anyone wants to learn about US history, or write a textbook on the subject, feel free to help us out. - Hmmm. Well, the name of the book appears POV to me. Anyway, as long as the book is of academic use the POV in the title isn't a big deal though :-)-RavichandarMy coffee shop 14:59, 13 November 2008 (UTC)
