How to put a book on the shelf

I vaguely remember that I encountered that problem already with my first English Wikibook, but that was a while ago and I don't remember what the solution was, so please excuse me asking again: I recently started a new book (Scientific racism in Germany, it is a history book) and would like to put it on the shelf.
