Introduction

Here you will find a description of uim and its design along with a comparison to a few alternatives. The page also lists a some related software.

Installation

Currently, this page only describes installation from source. For distribution specific instructions, please refer to your package manager's documentation.

Setup

Your system must be set up correctly to redirect keyboard input through respective bridges to uim. Furthermore uim must be told which input method to use, and you can optionally set up a toolbar.
