Didn't someone post an article that Jeff wrote about Polylangs on ConlangResource? I thought he said we could use it for the CR Wiki. -- Maknas 17:22, 7 Aug 2004 (UTC)
Yeah, Jeff did write that article, and he did say we could use it. I'm going to go ahead and add it to this page.

Noun incorporation + reanalysis = not poly anymore
From the module:
Ikamesitosona. | ||||
i- | ka- | mesi | toso | -na |
3RD.ANIMATE.SING | 3RD.INANIMATE.PLU | a rock | to see | PAST.PERFECT |
He saw rocks. |
Be careful when trying to demonstrate noun incorporation, as the reader might reanalyze an utterance like this as a less exotic inflecting SOV clause:
I kamesi tosona. | ||||
i | ka- | mesi | toso | -na |
3RD.ANIMATE.SING | 3RD.INANIMATE.PLU | a rock | to see | PAST.PERFECT |
He saw rocks. |

Greetings
How can greetings be formed, how might they change, and how are they affected by history? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 97.85.166.212 (discuss • contribs) 11:43, 10 April 2013
