Didn't someone post an article that Jeff wrote about Polylangs on ConlangResource? I thought he said we could use it for the CR Wiki. -- Maknas 17:22, 7 Aug 2004 (UTC)

Yeah, Jeff did write that article, and he did say we could use it. I'm going to go ahead and add it to this page.

Noun incorporation + reanalysis = not poly anymore

From the module:

Ikamesitosona.
i-ka-mesitoso-na
3RD.ANIMATE.SING3RD.INANIMATE.PLUa rockto seePAST.PERFECT
He saw rocks.

Be careful when trying to demonstrate noun incorporation, as the reader might reanalyze an utterance like this as a less exotic inflecting SOV clause:

I kamesi tosona.
ika-mesitoso-na
3RD.ANIMATE.SING3RD.INANIMATE.PLUa rockto seePAST.PERFECT
He saw rocks.

Greetings

How can greetings be formed, how might they change, and how are they affected by history? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 97.85.166.212 (discusscontribs) 11:43, 10 April 2013
