Ingredients
- 2 lb ground meat (e.g. beef, pork, turkey)
- 2 cans (29 ounces) tomato sauce
- 2 cans (29 ounces) kidney beans (with liquid)
- 2 cans (29 ounces) black beans (with liquid)
- 2 cans (29 ounces) pinto beans (with liquid)
- 2 cans (29 ounces) diced tomatoes
- 2 cups water
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 2 stalks celery, diced
- 3 tsp cumin powder
- 3 tbsp chili powder
- 2 tsp black pepper
- 2 tsp salt
Procedure
- Cook the ground meat in a large pot on medium-high heat.
- Drain off and discard the fat.
- Add all remaining ingredients in order and bring to a boil.
- Reduce to low heat and simmer for 2 to 3 hours, stir every 15 minutes.
