This aggressive gambit targets Black's weak f-pawn. While Black can continue with the most natural move, 4...exd3 to stay up in material, they must be careful to not fall into any traps.

Otherwise, 4...e5 is a safe continuation (and if 5. dxe4 to simply trade queens).
