Note
The manual is a work in progress. Please add to it with complete, tested instructions wherever you can.
This is the system menu:
- Options shows the Huggle options.
- My talk page (M) will display the latest revision of your talk page, which is useful for checking of new messages.
- Abort (Esc) kills the last query on a stack. This option may not work if you didn't enable delayed reverts.
- Change Provider lets you change the provider of edits to a different one (Wiki / IRC / XmlRcs).
- Wiki - A basic feed provider which always works. It uses the MediaWiki API which it periodically polls to get a list of recent changes. It's slow and ineffective, but it doesn't depend on any 3rd party, so it's used as a fallback when everything else fails.
- IRC - Uses the classic IRC-based recent changes feed. It's much faster at receiving information about new edits in real time.
- XmlRcs - XmlRcs is most modern technology that is built around Event Streams and receives its data in YAML, which is meant to eventually replace the IRC feed. Unfortunately it's not very stable. So in case it's down, Huggle falls back to the IRC stream. On systems where IRC doesn't work (or when that is down), Huggle falls back to Wiki API polling.
- Stop provider stops the current provider so that Huggle will stop retrieving new edits. This is useful if you want to keep Huggle running but you want to "pause" it.
- Mass action reverts or deletes all edits made by a user, but it will not send any message to them.
- Exit closes Huggle.
Options / Preferences
This window allows you to modify most of the program settings.
Queue filter
This is where you can add or remove queue filters that can be used to define what types of edits should be added to queue. To create a new filter, click the insert button, and a new filter will appear in the list. Then, select the list, pick a new name and click save.
You can also define a default filter for a site. This filter will always be switched to when you start Huggle.
