एक सुरक्षित पृष्ठ ऐसा पृष्ठ है जिसे साधारण सदस्य किसी भी तरह से संपादित और/या स्थानांतरित नहीं कर सकते। किसी सुरक्षित पृष्ठ को सिर्फ सिसॉप की अनुमतियों वाले सदस्य ही संपादित या स्थानांतरित कर सकते हैं। उसी तरह से सिर्फ सिसॉप सदस्य ही पृष्ठों को सुरक्षित कर सकते हैं या असुरक्षित कर सकते हैं।
Each activity of protecting or unprotecting a page is saved in its edit history.
किसी पृष्ठ को सुरक्षित करने के कई कारण हो सकते हैं:
- सार्वजनिक विकियों पर पृष्ठों को इस वजह से सुरक्षित किया जा सकता है कि उनपर अकसर बर्बरता फैलाई जाती है या फिर उन्हें अकसर बुरे शीर्षकों पर स्थानांतरित कर दिया जाता है, या फिर जहाँ यह महसूस हो कि किसी पृष्ठ पर बर्बरता या अनुचित स्थानांतरण से बहुत बुरा प्रभाव पड़ सकता है।
- निगमित विकियों पर पृष्ठों को तब सुरक्षित किया जाता है जब उनमें ऐसे बयान हो जिन्हें प्रबंधन द्वारा स्वीकार किया गया हो, और नीति के अनुसार एक विशिष्ट प्रक्रिया के अलावा उस बयान को बदला नहीं जा सकता।
Types of protections
Two types of protection levels exist on MediaWiki by default.
- Semi protected - This option prevents new and unregistered users from editing the page. It is best used to curb vandalism. On a page's protection settings, this option is specified as
सिर्फ स्वतः स्थापित सदस्यों को अनुमति है. - Fully protected - This option allows only administrators to edit the page. It is used to stop edit wars, for legal reasons, curb large-scale disruptions, etc. On a page's protection settings, this option is specified as
सिर्फ प्रबंधकों को अनुमति है.
Wikis can define additional protection levels using the $wgRestrictionLevels configuration setting.
पृष्ठ को सुरक्षित करने पर विकि पर सहयोग में रुकावट आती है, और यथासंभव पृष्ठों को सुरक्षित नहीं करना चाहिए।
How to protect a page
Click on the उपकरण drop-down menu, and select सुरक्षित करें.
You will be asked to choose the type of protection and also to add a reason for the protection.
For the type of protection, choose either सिर्फ स्वतः स्थापित सदस्यों को अनुमति है or सिर्फ प्रबंधकों को अनुमति है.
Select an expiration time from the drop-down menu, or choose अन्य समय.
Manually entered time values are parsed by php's strtotime function.
How to unprotect a page
Click on the उपकरण drop-down menu, and select सुरक्षा बदलें.
You will be asked to choose the type of protection and also to add a reason for the protection.
For the type of protection, choose सभी सदस्यों को अनुमति दें.
