Rename to Extension:Flow?

This is the only extension I can think of where the wiki page name does not match the repo name. I purpose we move this to Extension:Flow. Thoughts? –Novem Linguae (talk) 18:13, 29 March 2025 (UTC)

It's not a bad idea (Flow, the original name, was a much better name), but on the other hand this extension is basically dead at this point, so... maybe it doesn't really matter. Yaron Koren (talk) 00:33, 1 April 2025 (UTC)
The name of the extension is now StructuredDiscussions, no longer Flow. The repo wasn’t renamed, probably because it would’ve been too big of a breaking change, but this doesn’t mean the extension page shouldn’t bear the new name. (Yes, the extension could be renamed back, but that’s a lot of translation and documentation update, which isn’t worth it considering that this thing is dead.) Extension:SyntaxHighlight is the same story: it used to be called SyntaxHighlight_GeSHi, and the repo still reflects that. (By the way, there are a number of extensions where the page name and repo name aren’t exactly the same, but are close enough: Extension:Proofread Page vs ProofreadPage, Extension:CLDR vs cldr etc.) Tacsipacsi (talk) 00:57, 1 April 2025 (UTC)
Yeah, probably best to just leave this alone at this point. * Pppery * it has begun 02:12, 1 April 2025 (UTC)

Removing the extension without problems?

It would be great if some competent person could give step-by-step instructions on how to safely remove the extension. Thanks. Rogue Vor tex (talk) 13:42, 14 May 2025 (UTC)

One attempt was made at wikitech:Flow, but the real problem is removing Flow is hard because it stores its data in an opaque format the rest of MediaWiki can't understand. Another attempt at cleanup was done by me on this wiki using User:Flow cleanup bot but that's also not really usable by others. * Pppery * it has begun 18:39, 5 June 2025 (UTC)
