position?

I installed this extension and could not it get it work at first, in spite of having run initImageData.php as well as runJobs.php with refreshLinks. But then I moved the (only) image on the page closer to the top and it's only then that it got recognised and picked up by the extension. What exactly is the thinking here? Does the appropriate image need to appear above the fold? Cavila 14:38, 26 December 2024 (UTC)

I'd like to know the answer too but at least you solved my problem. I had one page where the og:image meta tags weren't showing up. I move the image to the very top of the markdown and now it works!

My understanding about this extension is it's supposed to examine all images, regardless of position in the markdown, and determine the best one to use as a page image. This particular page only had one image- it should be an easy choice. Is this a bug or am I totally misunderstanding how this extension is supposed to work?
