Please implement the translate sections :
- after T9 (from The description message, formerly... till before anchor|Message documentation
- after T15 (from * <var>
for mention of parameter keys, ... till exist on many wikis. before T16
Thank you. Christian 🇫🇷 FR 🚨 (talk) 14:00, 4 February 2019 (UTC)
- Done, but I think it's going to be very hard to translate in a way that works for people that don't speak English, given intent and contract are explained through method and variable names. Jdforrester (WMF) (talk) 17:48, 4 February 2019 (UTC)
- ok but partially done => Still missing section after T15 to unlock
- Please implement the translate sections :

- Thank you. Christian 🇫🇷 FR 🚨 (talk) 18:33, 4 February 2019 (UTC)
- Is there any reason you don't do that yourself? Jdforrester (WMF) (talk) 19:39, 4 February 2019 (UTC)
- I have received no right to push and get the corresponding sections unmasked for translation. so i beg here for a charitable soul. If you can give me that right you are welcome. Christian 🇫🇷 FR 🚨 (talk) 19:54, 4 February 2019 (UTC)
- Sure, but the bit that takes an hour is the marking up, not the checking that markup and triggering the push for new translations. Jdforrester (WMF) (talk) 20:08, 4 February 2019 (UTC)
- I can do both. I will use the additional rights limited to the realignment of missing translate tags and correct if some are misaligned without cycling on the Project Current issues page for service I could do autonomously. In any case logs always trace my user activities.
- I am a trustable person (see ). About 20 000 translations on translatewiki , 22 000 on other wikis including Wikimedia and last year I received admin rights for KDE user/tech bases without problems.
- Translating messages for over 10 years, may be time is come to evolve towards an admin translator function.
- Of course starting with local mark of EN text as here above.
- Can you support my request ? Christian 🇫🇷 FR 🚨 (talk) 12:46, 5 February 2019 (UTC)

Hello,
I am trying to create the page with the URL /Brandon_Taylorian but when I press publish, an error message occurs that say that I am trying to add external links and that MediaWiki is not the same as Wikipedia. Therefore, I took out all of the external links from my page, but the error messages still occurs.
Kind regards,
George 77.100.143.114 (talk) 20:59, 6 February 2019 (UTC)
- According to the abuse logs you did not take out all external links. But the page would deleted anyway for being inappropriate on this wiki --- please don't keep trying to create it; see project scope. Clump (talk) 21:18, 6 February 2019 (UTC)

Using GitHub login on mediawiki.org
Hi, I wrote a proposal about letting people log in (and more importantly, sign up) to mediawiki.org using their GitHub account. Your feedback would be welcome. Tgr (talk) 05:24, 20 February 2019 (UTC)
Request to add a link to an up-to-date code version for the TikiWiki to MediaWiki conversion manual
Some colleagues and me recently worked on the code of Manual:TikiWiki Conversion and I thought I might add our work to this wiki page. Since we used Git and GitHub to do the coding (and will in the future to continue) I would like to add a link to the repository and invite everybody interested in the conversion to join in our work on GitHub. Do think it is possible to let me add the link? The present version of the page already contains external links and I think our external link adds usefulness to the page. When we set up the repo, we even inserted all history that could be found on the wiki page, but still decided to not continue working on the code as part of the page but use a more modern coding approach by using a public GitHub repo. BjoernLudwigPTB (talk) 09:56, 21 February 2019 (UTC)
- Please go ahead. The current code seems to be old Ciencia Al Poder (talk) 10:29, 21 February 2019 (UTC)
- Thanks a lot for the quick reply. It is indeed old. That is why we started working on it. BjoernLudwigPTB (talk) 12:45, 21 February 2019 (UTC)

I wrote VARCHAR(255) on Manual:Interwiki table. But Setian~mw added VARBINARY(255). Special:Diff/3105603
Will you tell me which one is correct?
I tested on "mysql Ver 15.1 Distrib 10.1.36-MariaDB, for Win32 (AMD64)" and on "mysql Ver 15.1 Distrib 5.5.60-MariaDB, for Linux (x86_64)".

- Someone with labs access can do a describe on enwiki, right? I'm curious to know not only which is correct but also why we would be getting different results. Setian~mw (talk) 01:52, 23 February 2019 (UTC)
- Hmm. In table.sql, iw_prefix does not have "varchar(32) binary" nor "varbinary(32)".

Hi all
To translate https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Reading/Web/Advanced_mobile_contributions ,
is there a reason for the second chapter 'Updates' to have no < translate > tags and remain in EN in the translated pages ?
Thank you Christian 🇫🇷 FR 🚨 (talk) 15:46, 26 February 2019 (UTC)
- @Shirayuki Has added more translate tags to that section, but apparently only for titles. Do you want the content text of the sections to also be translatable? Ciencia Al Poder (talk) 10:14, 27 February 2019 (UTC)
- Taking into account the work of Shirayuki, I have implemented the remaining < translate > sections among the complete page. Anyone to check them and push for translations ?
- Thanks. Christian 🇫🇷 FR 🚨 (talk) 10:45, 27 February 2019 (UTC)
