Why so much needless whitespace between lines?
All looks quite promising otherwise. Testing:

New section

With sign. ~ Titodutta (talk) 19:48, 3 February 2014 (UTC)

Most wikitext works here, with a few exceptions like the signature.

EBernhardson (WMF): Initially we used to remember to sign post', now we have to remember not to sign posts. Titodutta (talk) 20:38, 3 February 2014 (UTC)
test Diego Moya (talk) 13:57, 4 February 2014 (UTC)
EBernhardson (WMF): But as long as we can't see the source (the wikitext), it is useless that code works, since new editors are not able to learn by copying, which is often the best method of learning things. And you also can't apply any wikitext from the toolbar, since that as well is totally absent. Basically, this tool is putting quite some distance between old editors (well-versed in Wikitext) and new editors, certainly if (a the WMF hopes) VisualEditor would be the weapon-of-choice for new editors. has anyone considered that one approach, one preferred method of using wikitext, might have been preferable to the three systems we have now? Fram (talk) 14:17, 4 February 2014 (UTC)
EBernhardson (WMF): very good mention - copying is the simplest way to learn the code.
Plus: the usability - if we wanted to write in simple boxes, we would implement such policies and tools/extentions. This way (forum like) has all the problems the fora have (e.g. I cannot cut into your particular sentences and I need to quote them to reply to them - which can be very tiresome in a lengthy text or a discussion page where we are actually working on something, like on meta.wiki.
And the last thing - WTF is with these washed out colours and grey-on-grey approach? This is hardly readable and I am not sure if elderly people are seeing the text they are typing at all. Really Fix it. You have bug submissions in bugzilla - people do mean it. Aegis Maelstrom (talk) 21:30, 4 February 2014 (UTC)
Aegis Maelstrom and Fram: Adding a "view source" link in place of the "edit" link (for editors without permission to edit the content) is bugzilla:60465.
Adding the edittoolbar is also on the to-do list (notes here). Quiddity (WMF) (talk) 22:00, 5 February 2014 (UTC)
does the visual editor work here? Hroðulf (talk) 11:37, 6 February 2014 (UTC)
Hroðulf: Adding Visual Editor as an optional input method, is on the to-do list, but getting it to work with wikimarkup has been the priority. Quiddity (WMF) (talk) 20:03, 6 February 2014 (UTC)

Feedback

This is a sandbox feedback. FelixReimann (talk) 11:28, 13 February 2014 (UTC)
FelixReimann: Not very helpful! FelixReimann (talk) 11:31, 13 February 2014 (UTC)
The design could be improved: It is hard to visually get which parts belong together, i.e., where a topic starts and where it ends. FelixReimann (talk) 11:30, 13 February 2014 (UTC)
FelixReimann: But beside this, I like it very much. FelixReimann (talk) 11:32, 13 February 2014 (UTC)
Your post deserves more likes, sir. Wizardist (talk) 13:19, 13 February 2014 (UTC)
Wizardist: This page deserves more 'reply' links.
Oh wait the word reply appears 85 times on this page.
... does anyone else see that as an overcomplicating issue? MarkJurgens (talk) 03:30, 18 February 2014 (UTC)

How do I see which topics has new comments since the last time I visit here?

@90.184.223.227: The development of a button to "sort topics" by most-recent-activity (and possibly other criteria) is on the to-do list, and there are also ideas to visually highlight the posts that were made since a topic was last seen.

Currently, the most efficient way to do this, is to click the middle of the 3 "view options" buttons near the top (collapsed view), and then scan down the elapsed-timestamps. (The titlebar currently displays the time of most recent activity) Quiddity (WMF) (talk) 21:08, 14 February 2014 (UTC)

Hello, world! GZWDer (talk) 18:55, 14 February 2014 (UTC)
Categorizing the Flow board based on category in the header makes sense.
Meanwhile what would it mean to categorize a post? It can't categorize the Flow board on which it originates, because it would be really hard to figure out which post put the Flow board into a category. Even with the ability to View source of posts, you'd have to load each topic and look for the category. Should there be a means to categorize individual posts, given that (depending on wiki permissions) the ability to edit a post to remove a category would be limited? Just wondered how it would look if I transcluded a infobox. Its a copy of Extension:AbuseFilter - not the same output... Christian75 (talk) 18:08, 19 February 2014 (UTC)
Christian75: Interesting example. The 3 main differences (apart from the font-size) that I can see are:
  1. the 3 "Tables" links are red here - that's because they're relative-subpage links, so is expected behaviour
  2. the line "Check usage and version matrix; code metrics" isn't visible here - I think that's because it's not in the Template namespace, so is intentionally hidden, per Template:Extension#Control parameters
  3. the <section begin='shortdesc' />...<section end='shortdesc' /> being visible here - I'm not sure what's going wrong there. I'll file a bug (bugzilla:61962). Thanks! Quiddity (WMF) (talk) 21:26, 26 February 2014 (UTC)
