English: The figure displays coefficient trajectories in a 3-dimensional space as a function of the regularization strength, α. The left panel represents Lasso Regression, in which the coefficients of some features can shrink exactly to zero. The right panel depicts Ridge Regression, showing smoother, non-zero coefficient transitions. Both trajectories highlight the influence of regularization, and together, differences in regularization, on model parameter estimates. Data was generated with a sample size of n=30 and three predictors. |
