ไทย: ธงชาติแห่งราชอาณาจักรไทย อันมีชื่อเรียกเฉพาะว่า "ธงไตรรงค์" เป็นธงที่ประกาศใช้เป็นธงชาติของประเทศสยาม (และประเทศไทยในยุคหลัง พ.ศ. 2482) เมื่อ พ.ศ. 2460 ตรงกับรัชสมัยของพระบาทสมเด็จพระมงกุฎเกล้าเจ้าอยู่หัว กษัตริย์รัชกาลที่ 6 แห่งกรุงรัตนโกสินทร์ พื้นธงประกอบด้วยสี 3 สี ได้แก่
  • สีแดง หมายถึงโลหิตซึ่งยอมสละได้ เพื่อพิทักษ์ชาติและศาสนา
  • สีขาว หมายถึงความบริสุทธิ์ในพระพุทธศาสนาและธรรมในศาสนาต่างๆ
  • สีน้ำเงิน หมายถึงพระมหากษัตริย์ สีดังกล่าวนี้เดิมเป็นสีโปรดส่วนพระองค์ของพระบาทสมเด็จพระมงกุฎเกล้าเจ้าอยู่หัว

  • White represents the religion of Buddhism, the predominant religion of the nation
  • Blue represents the monarchy of the nation, which is recognised as the centre of Thai hearts.
