Convergent evolution

In arthropods

Crustaceae and Myriapoda
An example of convergent evolution is carcinization, which is the convergent evolution of crustaceans to a crab-like body plan

In chordates

The skulls of the thylacine (left) and the grey wolf, Canis lupus, are similar, although the species are only very distantly related (different infraclasses). The skull shape of the red fox, Vulpes vulpes, is even closer to that of the thylacine.
Marsupials and placentals
In Carnivora
Two mammal genera, Kerodon and Procavia, are only distantly related, but the species within each have converged on a similar body form.
