"End/stop copyvio" change

{{Edit request}} Suggesting a change to MediaWiki:AxUserMsg.js to make the "Name in Sidebar" entry for the two copyvio warnings clearer to this script's users. They are currently titled "end copyvio" and "stop copyvio", but these two words are basically synonyms. It is not especially obvious which is the milder and the final warning, without reading the full description.

• End copyvio to be renamed Copyvio 2
• Stop copyvio to be renamed Copyvio 1
• Swap the order they appear in the array so that the polite warning appears above the final warning

 Not done There is a detailed text beside each option, so I don't think there is anything more needed. Also, I'm not sure if changing the name wouldn't mess anything up. There seems to be some pre-select mechanism which seem fragile. Nux (talk··dyskusja) 22:16, 15 May 2026 (UTC)

That's a shame. It was definitely a small user interface bump for me for a long time, having to ignore the title and instead check the longer description, until I internalised what they meant.

Can we at least put them in the more appropriate order with the first warning listed above the final warning? Belbury (talk) 09:10, 22 May 2026 (UTC)

@Belbury unfortunately it seems like the order is the most fragile part. You can try to discuss the change with the community and if people say they accept the risks of messing up pre-select then I think this can be modified. Nux (talk··dyskusja) 09:30, 22 May 2026 (UTC)
