Query

On 22nd September at 20:15 you posted on my talk page a 'Pay attention to copyright' notification that warned my that my image File:DGS.jpg was about to be deleted. It clearly states in the box that:

The file you added will soon be deleted. If you believe this image is not a copyright violation, please explain why on the image description page.

All fair enough, however at 20:15, less than a minute later, you deleted the image. Whats the point in asking people to comment and not giving them a chance to? As for the image itself, it was a duplicate image thats been superceded by a newer version so was for deletion anyway but how about a chance to respond. Scanbus (talk) 19:42, 24 September 2009 (UTC)

There needs to be permission on file with OTRS. That "I have permission" type commentary might work on Wikipedia, but it doesn't work here on commons. --ShakataGaNai ^{^_^} 21:16, 11 October 2009 (UTC)
