Summary
| Description |
English: This video was recored in Punjab, India.
Seraiki, also spelled Saraiki and written natively as سرائیکی and ਸਰਾਇਕੀ, is spoken by as many as 20 million people, primarily in the South Punjab region of Pakistan and India, and by diaspora communities worldwide. A member of the Punjabi dialect continuum, Seraiki's status as a separate language or distinct variety of Punjabi is a matter of popular and academic tension. Seraiki is most commonly written with a variety of the Arabic alphabet known as the Shahmukhi, though the Gurumukhi, Devanagari, and Langdi scripts are also commonly used.
