Summary
| Description |
English: The Norris Portrait of Lady Jane Grey. Similar to the 1590's Streatham Portrait from the NPG, and the 1580's Houghton Portrait, now in a private collection, likely based on the same original. The existence of three known copies of the same original suggest that the sitter was high-profile and popular (adding weight to the Jane Grey hypothesis). Inscribed 'LADYE IANE GRAYE, DIED 1553, AET 17' |
