English: Queensland Jubilee 1859-1909 postcard including the allegorical figure of Britannia?, Governor Bowen and Lord Chelmsford. Represented is tropical fruit, flora, wool and stock, and the state badge (the imperial crown superimposed on a Maltese cross). A poem is also included: The isles of Greece;/Killarney's vales;/The Scottish Lakes;/The hills of Wales;/The glowing green/of English fields:/To none of these/fair Queensland yields! Postcard is number 119 in the Curlew Series.
