We request that you provide a credit for the Visible Earth, as the location where you obtained the imagery, with a URL if possible (visibleearth.nasa.gov/)
We further request that you provide a credit to the Earth Observatory team that developed the imagery, again with a URL if permitting (earthobservatory.nasa.gov/)
The NASA website hosts a large number of images from the Soviet/Russian space agency, and other non-American space agencies. These are not necessarily in the public domain.
The SOHO (ESA & NASA) joint project implies that all materials created by its probe are copyrighted and require permission for commercial non-educational use.
