File:Pi Calculation Confidence Visualization.webm
Summary
Description |
English: This is a visualization of all confidence intervals of calculating pi with random points. At each step, a point (x,y) where -1<x<1 and -1<y<1 was randomly selected, and the proportion of points up to that point lying inside the circle x^2+y^2=1 was recorded. Using the sample size and the proportion, for every value between 3.0 and 3.4, the minimum value C for which a confidence interval of level C would contain the value was recorded. The point (sample size, possible value of pi, C) was plotted, and than another point was sampled. |
