Summary
Description |
English: At the home of America’s most powerful supercomputer, the Oak Ridge Leadership Computing Facility (OLCF), researchers often simulate millions or billions of dynamic atoms to study complex problems in science and energy.
Finding fast, user-friendly ways to organize and analyze all this data is the job of the OLCF Advanced Data and Workflow Group and computer scientists like Benjamín Hernández, who developed a new visualization tool called SIGHT for OLCF users. This SIGHT visualization is from a project led by University of Virginia’s Leonid Zhigilei to explore how lasers transform a metal surface.
