English: Mongol Identity NGO was formed in 2020 on World Human Rights Day by activists who campaign to educate and raise awareness on the word 'mongol' internationally in order to eradicate the misleading, misinformed and old fashioned term 'mongol' referring to people with learning disabilities and hate speech. From dressing-up costumes to sports mascots, we see how one person’s idea of innocent fun can attack another person’s dignity further perpetuating stereotyping and racism. Therefore, we hope that production companies, media outlets, celebrities and individuals take necessary action out of respect, human kindness and compassion towards vulnerable members of society as well as the international Mongol community. The photo represents the unpacking of a Mongol bag and open up and showcase the Mongolian culture to the world.
