This photograph is protected by copyright law. However, it may be used for free by anyone, provided it is used in accordance with the license Creative Commons License “Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International” (CC BY-SA 4.0). These include, among other things, the naming of the author and the license, as well as the setting of a link to the license text or its complete imprint. The attribution should be done as follows:
Please read the text of the license carefully before using the photograph. If you do not agree with the conditions of the license or if you do not understand these conditions, please refrain from using the photo. If you have any questions regarding the license or the reuse of the image, please contact me before using it. For informations about the licence see section Licensing or as human-readable summary or as full licence text at Creative Commons. In addition to the above, a link to the source - so this page with the descriptions and license terms - is appreciated. More information or examples of use can be found at re-use (with example file). The Attribution Generator is helpful in licensing matters.
As an alternative to the Creative Commons License CC BY-SA 4.0, the Free Art License (from version 1.3) may also be used.

  • This image has a minimum resolution of 8 Megapixels and comes with the full set of EXIF data.
  • The image is free of chromatic aberrations, jpeg artefacts and provides a minimum amount of noise.
  • The image does not contain posterized or blown out areas.
  • The postprocessing includes color and perspective correction.
  • This photo was taken with a creative approach. Therefore, sharpness, depth of field, and the usual compositional rules have only limited significance, if any at all.
  • Creative liberties are intentional and are meant to help highlight photographic possibilities.
  • This image was created without JPEG compression.
  • This photo was taken in RAW format.
  • Descriptions are provided in German, English, and, if necessary, in the local language.
  • The location information and geographic coordinates are provided to the best of our ability.
  • Categorization takes into account subject matter, location, and time.
While the self-assessment indicates that the image meet certain quality criteria, it does not mean that they are equivalent to quality images.

Licensing

Dietmar Rabich, the copyright holder of this work, hereby publishes it under the following license:

attribution share alike
This file is licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-Share Alike 4.0 International license.
Attribution:
You are free:
  • to share – to copy, distribute and transmit the work
  • to remix – to adapt the work
Under the following conditions:
  • attribution – You must give appropriate credit, provide a link to the license, and indicate if changes were made. You may do so in any reasonable manner, but not in any way that suggests the licensor endorses you or your use.
  • share alike – If you remix, transform, or build upon the material, you must distribute your contributions under the same or compatible license as the original.

Germany

The photographical reproduction of this work is covered under the article § 59 of the German copyright law, which states that "It shall be permissible to reproduce, by painting, drawing, photography or cinematography, works which are permanently located on public ways, streets or places and to distribute and publicly communicate such copies. For works of architecture, this provision shall be applicable only to the external appearance."

As with all other “limits of copyright by legally permitted uses”, no changes to the actual work are permitted under § 62 of the German copyright law (UrhG).

Notes

For users of the photo

This image is not in the public domain. Copyright protection applies.

The rules of the listed free license apply, no more and no less. Please respect the copyright protection.

Particular attention should be paid to the terms of use, especially when using social media. These sometimes do not correspond to the license conditions listed here. (See CC BY-SA licenses and social media.) Please check this before use in the respective medium.

The license conditions must also be respected when using so-called generative artificial intelligence (AI). Images created on the basis of this image are processed images or derivatives within the meaning of the license.

Of course, a free license is no carte blanche for use. In particular, there are restrictions not based on the license, for example to the personality rights of the author (Copyright law of Germany, §§ 12 to 14 of the German Copyright Act). This is especially true for the required attribution and the use of the image. It is expressly not allowed to give the impression through the use of the image, that the author supports the work, in which the image is used, or whose rights holders in any way.

For editors

Please do not change the image file, the license, or the filename!

Even though a wiki offers a wide range of possibilities, some changes are possible but not permitted. The creator of the image has made it available here under the specific license mentioned. The three components — image file, license, and filename (title) — are inextricably linked. Always keep in mind that images are also used outside the Wikimedia Commons ecosystem. In those contexts, attribution specifically refers to this exact location and this exact image file here.

  • If you make changes to the image and want to make the modified image available to others here, upload the result under a new name and credit yourself as the editor — even for very minor changes. The templates Derivative and Extract are also available for this purpose. In addition, the author would like to make only minor corrections to the source he has on hand. The source is — as a rule — a RAW file. Editing a JPEG file always results in an undesirable loss of quality.
  • As an alternative to the specified license, only compatible licenses are permitted. Otherwise, any other form of licensing is reserved exclusively for the copyright holder.
  • When making changes to the filename, please always keep in mind the world outside of Wikimedia Commons. Anyone who enters a link expects the correct page with the correct image to appear. Anything else leads to confusion. A reference to the file versions is considered insufficient and impractical.

If you believe changes are necessary, or if you would like to offer constructive criticism, please contact the author.

It goes without saying that using the Crop Tool will not overwrite this original file. In accordance with the license, the resulting cropped image will have its user categories removed, any labels like “Quality Image” removed, the name of the person who created the cropped image added, and this original file cited as the source.

Two additional notes:

  • File metadata (EXIF/IPTC/XMP) may not be removed or altered, provided that it is useful and necessary for the enforcement of rights. (protection of information necessary for the enforcement of rights, §95c UrhG).
  • The author expressly disavows any images based on his photos (derivative works) that have been altered — even minimally — by third parties and on which only his name is listed as the author.

The title (or, alternatively, the filename) is part of the license’s required information and should therefore not be changed. If any of the information is incorrect, the author would appreciate being notified.
