El museo, ubicado en el estado Sucre, es un testimonio de la rica historia y cultura de Venezuela, y es un lugar importante para la preservación y difusión de la herencia cultural del país. El museo es parte del esfuerzo nacional por proteger y promocionar el patrimonio cultural, en cumplimiento de la Ley de Protección y Defensa del Patrimonio Cultural de Venezuela.
