Deutsch: Blick vom Südwesten auf den Wilsdruffer Thorplatz (heutiger Postplatz), von dem eine Brücke den Wassergraben der Stadtbefestigung überspannt und zum Wilsdruffer Tor (rechts im Bild) führt. Die hintere Brücke ist die alte Augustusbrücke, die über die im Gemälde nicht sichtbare Elbe führt.
