On Tuesday, June 7, 2011, participants at the IACA conference had the opportunity to have supper at the Royal Canadian Mint in Winnipeg and to have a guided tour of the facility. At the end of the tour, we headed to the very impressive gift shop where we had a chance to hold an actual gold bar worth about $560,000 (Canadian -- about $516,000 US) weighing about 27.5 pounds -- a lot heavier than it looks, as some of the expressions show.
