Summary
| Description |
English: The Tilghman Street bridge over the Jordan Creek and Valley was built around 1925. Unlike the Tilghman Street Viaduct over the Lehigh River at Front Street, this bridge connected Allentown's Tenth and Sixth Wards from Jordan Street in the west to 2d Street in the east. A steel bridge rather than concrete, it crossed over the Lehigh Valley Railroad tracks and the Jordan Creek below. . This bridge was replaced in 1987 with a wider, pre-stressed concrete and steel bridge |
