Files in Category:Bronze Soldier at the Defence Forces Cemetery

There is no commercial Freedom of Panorama in Estonia, and these freely-licensed images infringe on the sculptural copyrights. The work dates to 1947 and was authored by w:en:Enn Roos and w:en:Arnold Alas, both of whom died in 1990. Copyright lasts for 1990+70+1 years after the artists' deaths. Images nominated feature the monument as the main subject.

I am against it. The main object of the shooting is not the Bronze Soldier, but the surroundings, the people and the mountains of flowers they laid at the monument. All photographs show only part of the sculpture.

@Liilia Moroz the other files you cited are of assorted monuments whose sculptors or artists may be dead for more than 70 years, so these need to be evaluated individually. However, these images I nominated are of the same monument and sculptural complex. None of the images are incidental; cropping several to focus on people may produce photos of non-notable people that will end up useless photos of individuals who aren't noteworthy enough. w:en:WP:OTHERSTUFFEXISTS does not apply on Wikimedia Commons; all images that show suspected copyrighted monuments as main or intended subjects must also be nominated for deletion, after thorough review validating the recent deaths of their architects or sculptures. Oh, very unexpected information that caught me by surprise. Wikipedia has a lot of photos of unknown people, why not delete them all. But many of these photos will become historical in the future and, in addition, will have an important informative role. And what about photos of "individuals who aren't noteworthy enough" at various celebrations, holidays, concerts, festivals, etc.? Or just street photos? Wikipedia's photo database is full of them. By the way, I would welcome "cleaning" the photo database of all sorts of completely meaningless photos, for example, photos of dimly lit streets, where practically nothing is visible, photo portraits and selfies (especially against the background of famous monuments, buildings and heritage monuments), displays of disrespect for the viewer and other senseless and/or low-quality photos. And genitals of "individuals who aren't noteworthy enough", by the way. Are there any measures to prevent the Wikimedia Commons database from being filled with all these photos? Моя статья про талантливого музыканта Арема Анучина, я хотела вставить несколько фоток с концертов, а еще сфотографировала на телефон несколько его дисков и нотных книжек (это мои фотки, не скачанные откуда-то) - все удалено. Может, вы мне подскажете, какие я правила нарушила.

Per policy, we can host 1-2 arbitrary images used on a userpage of any significant Wikimedia contributor (unless they do not violate copyright policy and userpage related policies). We generally rely on Occam's Razor, that the simplest explanation is usually correct. We have The Southern Poverty Law Center describing a leaflet by Tommasi and having an image of the cover of what appears to be a leaflet with an image of Tommasi and the National Socialist Liberation Front insignia, with no visible copyright notice on the cover. There were numerous NSLF posters/leaflets/publications, and the rest of the images in that article do not clearly relate to the specific works discussed in the text. Filing with the copyright office was not required in this period, provided there was a valid notice on the publication. It was required for renewal, but this was produced in the period where any valid notice gained the full term of protection. Okay, I checked Sunshine 2024, which is a very long, inexplicably comprehensive book about James Mason, since I figured it would say something about it. This is not Political Terror. It contains different quotes. According to Sunshine that poster has "the words “Political Terror” lined up over a gun pointing at the phrase, “It’s the Only Thing They Understand.” At the bot tom were a swastika and the slogan “Build the National Socialist Revolution through Armed Struggle." The closer told me to start another DR, so here we are: this was initially uploaded with license laundering asserting it was free, but it was updated to PD because of publication with no notice. We have no proof this was published without notice. The assertion above that it was, published without notice is based on a different image - which is also not PD, because the source provided does not say when it was originally published or show if it does or doesn't have a notice. It is included without context or elaboration in an SPLC article, that does not give a wide enough look.

Knowing what I know about the circumstances, this was probably published in an NSLF periodical, which may or may not have been copyrighted. We do not know. Some neo-Nazi publications were properly copyrighted, and not knowing which one we cannot determine if it was. Since we don't know when or where this image comes from we cannot evaluate properly the circumstances of its original publication. It was surely published, but we don't know where, or if it was in a publication with notice. We cannot just guess and say it was probably without notice per the COM:PCP.     You can search "National Socialist World", all copies have a notice. Searching the copyright logs for Burros and Patler's names return copyright notices. The Official Stormtrooper's manual has a valid notice. Patler's cartoons in the Rockwell report all have valid notices.

    If I pull a random image off Find A Grave (the only place this image has been sourced from) and don't tell anyone where I got it do you think it would lack "significant doubt"? Hi Janhrach. I don't believe this this is a DW, as it's definitely AI generated. I'm not exactly sure if I have the vocabulary to illustrate this, given the recency of AI-generated media and moreso AI-generated media being used by insurgent groups, but to me, this is identifiable as AI, due to the colors, lighting, and weird smoothness, along with the middle logo. AI tends to use that weird shiny / fake glossy color scheme for emblems, with a very prominent light source. All of the shapes in the middle by the eagle's neck blend together and flow out of the preceding shapes. Compare this image to the Trumpet of Patriots logo.

I've tried to find emblems / flags for this group before, and I've noticed that all of them are AI generated, which I guess makes sense given the group's circumstance. January 2005 satellite imageries, with the August 2005 satellite imagery showing its near-complete form (likely completed in 2005). Since there is no Freedom of Panorama in Iran, this image infringes on the architectural copyright and Wikimedia Commons cannot host this image.
