 Keep. This file is used on bn:হাজারা, en:Hazaras, fa:مردمان هزاره, fr:Hazaras, and ps:موسی خان. I can't read most of those languages, but English and French Wikipedias claim this is Musa Khan. Under COM:NPOV, we don't delete files that are in use on Wikipedia for being inaccurate: we expect Wikipedias to stop using them first. The exact situation in 10th century (Kerala) is uncertain and disputed among scholars. This map with exact boundaries is only the imagination of the creator without any sources. So, it should be deleted from the Wikipedia. It can be included if the up-loader provides references. Note: This uploader has a habit of making maps without any sources... Sir, The map seems to be created without any solid references (historical atlases, descriptions or any kind of charts etc). So, it should be deleted. If the author can give any type of reference, it can be included in the Wikipedia. Currently there is a large number maps without references in Wikipedia India.  Keep As previously. This map falls under en:WP:OR. So Wikipedia should be cautious about using it. But that's neither Commons' problem, not within Commons' competence to judge. In particular, the nomination does not cite any clear evidence of these 'Errors' (which Commons might then use) to show that this is inaccurate, to the point that it fails Commons' policies re COM:SCOPE. Errors:

  • Location of Mushika kingdom (Kolam) - north of the actual position
  • Label Ezhimalai the wrong place
  • Label Udagai in the wrong place
  • Label Perumpadappu (which does not exist in 900 AD)
  • Label Munjunad
  • Label Nanjinadu as location (when it is an area)
  • Several transliteration problems.
  • Boundary of Kerala only at some places.
  • Use of the terms "Kulasekhara kingdom" and "Later Chera kingdom" (no longer in use, discarded due to corrections)
    • No reference. Exact situation in early 10th century (Kerala) is uncertain and disputed among scholars/historian. It can be included if the up-loader provides references. Created without any solid references (historical atlases, descriptions or any kind of charts etc). Currently there is a large number maps without references in Wikipedia India. Common people are often mislead by these charts.

The anchor symbol is an extremely common symbol that has been in use for hundreds of years (see en:Anchor#As symbol and en:Anchored cross). There is even a Unicode codepoint for it: U+2693 ⚓. There may be minor variations between anchors drawn by different artists, but "minor variations do not necessarily transform all standard elements into copyrightable expression". That quote comes from page 7 of the US Copyright Office's decision on a logo which includes a fleur-de-lis, a symbol with a similar history and simplicity to the anchor symbol.
