Summary
| Description |
English: A "fulldome" video from CLUES (Constrained Local UniversE Simulations) which can be viewed at:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XeGQ2ziqPjs A fully spherical 360 x 180 degree view can be seen at: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wemAzudyW7A (see https://www.eso.org/public/videos/cluesAdler-cylindrical) "This incredible simulation gives us an idea of what the Universe might look like on the largest scales. Stars form into galaxies, galaxies into clusters, and clusters into superclusters, which are represented by the brightest blue points. Between the clusters and superclusters exists the so-called "Cosmic Web", spindly filaments of galactic material and dark matter which stretch across the otherwise empty chasms." (https://www.eso.org/public/videos/cluesAdler-cylindrical/) Created from the 4k fulldome Master (42.8 GB) data with the following command (from inside the unzipped folder): 'ffmpeg -framerate 30 -i CLUES4k_AdlerPlanetarium%04d.jpg -c:v libvpx-vp9 -b:v 2500k -an ./CLUES.webm` Other variants of the video could be uploaded (such as with higher resolution, other color-settings, zoomed-in and/or cropped). |
