File:Première croisade.jpg
Summary
| Description |
This file was derived from: Carte de la premiere croisade.jpg
English: Map in french language of the First Crusade and the main religions at the time, derivative from File:Carte_de_la_premiere_croisade.jpg but on an 11th century background, without the modern polders and dam reservoirs and without the omissions and oversimplifications of the first map (absence of Myophysits-Monopysits, Paulicians, Jews, Volga Bulgars; discontinuity in Orthodoxy while all Slavs and the Danube Bulgars were Christianized even under Pecheneg or other rule, large exaggeration of Islam in Anatolia as if the Seljuks had brutally exterminated most of the Christian population, etc). As soon as introduced in some articles on February 19, 2023, this map was reverted as “not consensual modification”. Question: in what way would the systematic restoration of a partially wrong map be more “consensual” than the introduction of another without mistakes? Unless it is "consensual" to convey errors, and to take no account of the sources making it possible to avoid them? |
