Category:SVG graphics created with spreadsheet

Primal example of a spreadsheet generating XML code for an SVG file.
For background understanding: this diagram shows an example of the approach used in Microsoft Excel spreadsheets to automatically generate SVG code for many of the charts in this category.

Files in this category are completely or mainly comprised of SVG code that has been automatically created with a generic spreadsheet program—as distinguished from files generated using a specialized SVG tool such as Inkscape.

  • A primal set of spreadsheet files (for various types of charts) is listed here. The spreadsheet generates the XML code in response to users entering (pasting) their data into the spreadsheet, so that the users do not need to be familiar with the details of XML, SVG or Inkscape etc. Users merely copy and paste the code to the .svg file, and specify margins, axis legends, gridlines, etc.
  • Detailed "how to" information for this first set is provided here.

Files are not excluded from this category if the spreadsheet-generated code is subsequently changed or supplemented, either by hand or with Inkscape etc. It is sufficient that a substantial portion of the XML code was automatically generated by the spreadsheet.
