    • I have a question: aren't only permanent displays allowed per COM:FOP? I just wanted to clarify. The display was taken down a few years ago. @S5A-0043: jolielover♥talk 03:59, 23 April 2025 (UTC)
Frankly I'm not sure how Madame Tussauds work with their displays, but multiple past DRs have decided that other wax figures in the same museum are considered permanent and therefore kept in DRs. (one, two, three, four). So a question to ask is that whether there were any signs indicating that this display is only there for a limited time (e.g. a sign saying it will be taken down by year 20XX). If there's none I think it falls under FOP since there's no such indication that it's not permanent. It's like a building that's slated to be demolished; one can't exactly argue that since the building is no longer there it's not a "permanent" fixture (at least in terms of FOP). S5A-0043🚎(Leave a message here) 04:19, 23 April 2025 (UTC)
Thanks for the clarity! Yes, definitely speedy keep. jolielover♥talk 04:50, 23 April 2025 (UTC)

Question Is the toy a permanent display? If not, then this cannot benefit from FOP. --A1Cafel (talk) 10:33, 5 May 2025 (UTC)
Info I know. It is a permanent installation. --Llez (talk) 09:11, 12 May 2025 (UTC)
Any proof? --A1Cafel (talk) 04:27, 24 May 2025 (UTC)
Info The photo was taken in 2020. When I passed by some time later, the figures were still sitting on the bench. They had been publicly displayed for a long time. Since I don't live in the area and won't be passing by anytime soon, I made a phone call. The figures are at the moment no longer on the bench. Since the figures weren't designed for outdoor use, they suffered greatly from the weather and were therefore removed.
As far as I know, in the German FoP, "auf Dauer" doesn't mean "for all eternity," but rather for the duration of their existence. For example, a work of art made of fruit exhibited in public can rot after just a few days or weeks, but in this case, "dauerhaft" applies, meaning the duration of their individual existence. For example, all images in this category would have to be deleted, as these works only exist for a few weeks, as the pumpkins would have rotted by then. Nevertheless, they are still subject to panorama freedom due to their limited durability. The same applies to the installation in this picture. --Llez (talk) 07:05, 29 May 2025 (UTC)

"LL" logos in Category:Logos of La Liga

The LL in these logos are extremely stylised with Footy Headlines remarking "a modern yet cryptic "ll" symbol, which is not easy to recognize as LaLiga at first glance." Personally, I did not see LL in these logos at first glance, but rather thought they were representation of legs in motion.

I believe this photo constitutes an invasion of privacy and I kindly request its removal from Wikimedia Commons. The request appears problematic in several regards. 1) The image shows multiple properties and does not focus on any particular property. 2) The scene was photographed from a fully public space (a public road). 3) The same scene has been publicly available on Google Street View since 2022, where there has apparently been no request from a home owner or tenant to blur a particular property. Finna publishes information from museums, which may have bought rights to publish it. The description of the image File:Kerttu Wanne (1932).jpeg (Finna-record) has marked license as CC BY 4.0. It is NOT public domain but Creative Commons license, which is allowed in Commons. Ipr1 (talk) 06:42, 21 April 2025 (UTC)
I doubt that this small Finnish museum bought rights from the Lipnitzky studio. It does not seem plausible. --Rosenzweig τ 09:56, 21 April 2025 (UTC)
Museum in question is Sibelius-museum (). Finna is the common platform that different museums and libraries use. And as I said, it is CC-licensed, not public domain, there is a difference. Ipr1 (talk) 14:54, 21 April 2025 (UTC)
I do know the difference between free licenses and the public domain. The CC license being correct is the thing that I doubt. --Rosenzweig τ 15:27, 21 April 2025 (UTC)
And here's an example why I think so: is a photographic portrait of Jean Sibelius as part of the collection of that museum. The photographer (which they credit) is en:Daniel Nyblin, who died in 1923. So his works are in the public domain in Finland and everywhere else. But the museum says the photo is under a CC BY 4.0 license. So it seems they do not know when a photo is in the public domain. Why exactly should I trust them to be careful and correct with the objects they label with this CC license? To me, this seems to be yet another case of a museum/archive/etc. adding a CC license label to all (or most) of their scans without really doing research about the copyright situation. And as I wrote, it is not plausible. If the archive of that museum had inherited or bought the whole estate of some photographer, including the (copy-)rights attached to it, and decided to release it all under a free license: Fine. I don't see the Sibelius Museum having acquired the Lipnitzky estate though. --Rosenzweig τ 15:39, 21 April 2025 (UTC)
Usual thing is that museum acquire a part of some collection that is of interest to them - not a whole collection, that would not be in their interest. Photography museums may acquire larger photographic collections either directly or by donations. Museums dealing in paintings may acquire a painting that would be a necessary piece to their collection. But museums can acquire different kinds of artifacts such as information related to students of a conservatory. Ipr1 (talk) 10:28, 22 April 2025 (UTC)
And I think that it is rather unlikely that when acquiring these individual pieces they also acquire the copyrights which are attached to them, at least not to a degree that would actually allow them to release these works under a free license. --Rosenzweig τ 10:51, 22 April 2025 (UTC)

I didn't found the rules for this 2017 contest however I found an archived version ot the 2025 contest rules , the point 10 is very clear, I quote: "The photos become property of the event organizers and may be used by the sponsoring agencies in future publications, websites or programs."
