EEA-33 refers to the 33 member countries of the European Environment Agency including the EU-28 Member States, the four European Free Trade Agreement countries (Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway and Switzerland) as well as Turkey. The E-PRTR does not contain data for Turkey, which is not covered by the E-PRTR Regulation. Gross value added (GVA) is used as a proxy for the economic activity of industry in Europe. The metric used accounts for inflation based on 2010 values. |
