English: To control the microgrid, the MPC takes as input the predictions of consumption and power generation W. Then, with the input parameters W, the simulation model gives the losses, the wasted energy and the storage level. The optimizer takes as input the state of the system S (i.e. battery level, power losses...), applies a cost function to it, checks that the constraints are respected and then tries to apply a command V to the generators and consumers. The MPC loops until it finds a quasi-optimal command V*, which will be sent to the real system. |
