Description
Deutsch: Die Gough Landkarte. Wegen der hochen Auflösung ist diese Datei ziemlich groß ausgefallen. Dagegen ist leider nichts zu tun, weil die Natur dieses Bild so ist daß sogar eine Verkleinerung mit eine Faktor zwei schon besonders viel verloren gehen lassen würde. Der Text beispielsweise würde so gut wie unlesbar worden. Ich bin mir wohl bewust das die Methode die ich genutzt habe um die Landkarte von das Internet herunter zu laden etwas Rauschen verursacht haben kann, wenn ich auch versucht habe dieses in Grenzen zu halten; das Salz und Pfeffer sowie das chromatische Rauschen gab es schon in dem originellen Bild und ist nicht meiner Hand. Menschen die sogar selbst das Bild nachbessern oder sonst bearbeiten möchten wollte ich gerne mitteilen daß mir eine verslustfrei gespeicherte Version zu Verfügung steht; leider war diese Datei zu groß um es auf Wikimedia Commons zu stellen.
English: The Gough Map. Due to the high resolution of this image, the file turned out rather large. However, this cannot be helped because due to the nature of the image even a downscaling of a factor of two would cause a considerable loss of information. Text would for example become as good as illegible. I am well aware of the fact that the method I had to use to download this map from the Internet may have caused some noise, even if I tried to keep this within reasonable bounds; the salt and pepper as well as the chromatic noise were present in the original and have not been caused by me. To people who feel like touching up or otherwise editing this image I wish to convey that a losslessly stored version is available to me; that file was unfortunately too large to put on Wikimedia Commons.
Nederlands: De Gough Kaart. Vanwege de hoge resolutie van deze afbeelding is het bestand nogal fors. Hier is echter niets aan te doen omdat de aard van de afbeelding zodanig is dat zelfs een neerschaling met een factor twee al bijzonder veel verloren zou doen gaan. Tekst zou bijvoorbeeld zo goed als onleesbaar worden. Ik ben mij wel bewust van het feit dat de methode die ik heb moeten gebruiken om de kaart neer te laden van het Internet enige ruis veroorzaakt kan hebben, al heb ik alle moeite gedaan om dit binnen de perken te houden; de zout en peper alsmede de chromatische ruis waren al aanwezig in het origineel en zijn niet door mij veroorzaakt. Aan mensen die zich geroepen voelen om deze afbeelding bij te werken of anderszins te gebruiken wil ik gaarne mededelen dat ik beschikking heb over een verliesvrij opgeslagen versie; dat bestand was echter te groot om op Wikimedia Commons te plaatsen.
