| Description | The Mars tricolor flag ("Red Mars", "Green Mars", "Blue Mars"). Not official in any legal sense. Has been approved by the Mars Society and The Planetary Society, and it has also flown in space. Its colours are adapted from photos of the real flag that flew over the Flashline Mars Arctic Research Station (FMARS) on Devon Island, Canada. FMARS is a project operated by the Mars Society in collaboration with NASA's Haughton-Mars Project. |
