Deutsch: Darstellung der Anatomie des „hypothetischen Urmollusks“ (engl. hypothetical ancestral mollusc, HAM), des hypothetischen gemeinsamen Vorfahren der schalentragenden Weichtiere (Conchifera). Das Nervensystem ist hypoathroid (d.h. Pleuralganglien und Pedalganglien liegen relativ weit entfernt von den Cerebralganglien – der primitive Zustand bei Mollusken). Der Körper ist unsegmentiert und prinzipiell bilateralsymmetrisch, Organe treten entweder paarig oder einzeln auf (keine Metamerie), Sauerstofftransport in der Hämolymphe erfolgt über Hämocyanin, die Gameten werden ins Perikard injeziert und über die Nephridien an die Umwelt abgegeben. |
