This template doesn't work where filenames have wikitext in them. See Image:Taviers JPG05.jpg for example. Angela 09:28, 4 September 2005 (UTC)

Manner of attribution

Does CC-BY v2 really demand that attribution be in the form requested by the author? It is my understanding that the author may request to be called anything he request "in a reasonable manner" but not make special requests about manner of attribution. I mean, can authors demand credit lines in wikipedia articles or news articles? Can the wording of the credit line be specified?

Invoke module directly

Template:SDC_statement_has_value is a simple wrapper around the module Module:SDC_tracking. Please change SDC_statement_has_value to #invoke:SDC_tracking|SDC_statement_has_value to invoke the module directly.

This template is one of the most heavily used templates (listed on Special:Mostlinkedtemplates with 7 million transclusions). MediaWiki tracks all templates transcluded on a page, so we should avoid unnecessary transclusions on heavily used templates like this (see phab:T343131).
