Parent category

Why {{Groups|Flags}} adds the SAME category Flags:

And {{Groups|Plants}} adds NOT Plants but Plants by setting:

And more confusing: {{Groups|Plants|5}} adds Plants by quantity:

And how can we change the parent category? (e.g. {{groups|male organisms}} in Category:Groups of male organisms generates Groups of organisms as parent cat. How can we change it to Groups of organisms by gender? Will there be a new parameter for it or a how-to-explanation on the doc-page?
