Français : Système permettant de mesurer les variations de volume pour une pression et une températures imposées. Le système se compose d'un récipient supposé indéformable et thermostaté, et d'un piston mobile sur lequel on exerce une force. Les mouvements du piston permettent de mesurer les variations de volume.
