Object history
Deutsch: Das Wappen ist von einem Dorfgerichtssiegel abgeleitet, das mit 1639 datiert wird. Es zeigt die drei gekreuzten Pfeile zwischen zwei heraldischen Rosen. Die Farben legte man bei der Wappenannahme 1962 fest. Rot und Silber sind die Farben des Hochstifts Würzburg und die Farben Frankens. 1376 kamen Teile des Ortes an das Hochstift Würzburg. Der Ort hatte im frühen 15. Jahrhundert eine stadtähnliche Selbstverwaltung und war mit Mauern und Türmen befestigt. Er war Sitz eines würzburgischen Kellereiamtes.
