The creator of the images, George Michell, has agreed to publish all the images under the following free license: Creative Commons Attribution-Share Alike 4.0 International

Description

These images were created in 2023-24 by digitising photographs (Kodak slides) of Terracotta Monuments in Bengal, taken by George Michell in the 1980s. The project was funded by a Wikimedia Community Grant. Details of the project objectives, participants, plans, and finances is in this page.

The metadata for the images is in this GSheet.

• Do the media URLs follow a pattern: The images are within folders by location and the metadata sheet specifies location and details of each image.

• Does the site have an API: Not sure. The images are on a Google Drive.

• What else could ease uploading: Can the images be bulk uploaded using the metadata sheet provided?

• Did you contact the site owner: This is a private GDrive. The photos were uploaded to the drive by me.

• Is there a template that could be used on the file description pages, or should one be created: Is the metadata sheet sufficient?
